About Florin Giuglea
Florin Giuglea started as a blues-rock guitar player.
In 2011 Florin Giuglea became an official Cornford Amplification endorser, being welcomed in an elite group of guitar players who own and use live some of the most well-regarded and highly-sought after guitar amplifiers in the world. In 2012, after several years of courses, workshops and stage experience, Florin founded FLO Custom Guitars, becoming a custom guitar builder & luthier. Naturally, for concerts or recording he uses only the electric guitars he has hand-built. Truly handmade music, isn’t it?
In 2015 Florin decided to make a turning point in his musical career, returning to his old love: the blues.
Touring and playing in the last years with an average of more than 100 concerts a year has certainly shaped him into the special guitar player and singer his is today.
It was the right time. In 2015, Florin Giuglea has initiated his long-time awaited solo project recording his debut album ‘Invitation to the Blues‘ together with friends and long-time colleagues Adrian Ciuplea, Hanes Radu, Mihai Ardelean and other talented artists. The album was mixed and mastered in the USA for a fine and thorough American quality music sound flavor.
‘Invitation to the Blues‘ is the result of years of playing, studying and breathing music. It is Florin’s well-documented and researched endeavor, traveling throughout the USA from Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee, to the 6th Street in Austin, Texas, on to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, back to the honky-tonk bars in Nashville and far yet to Tupelo and Clarksdale, Mississippi and then to classic concert venues in New York or Los Angeles, and so on and so forth.
Florin did all these searching for the true voice of the blues. Meeting authentic blues musicians. And now Florin Giuglea brings the magic of blues in Europe to his native country together with a piece of his heart and soul: ‘Invitation to the Blues‘.
